Lovely Courbette Optima saddle in excellent condition. Saddle is black, has a 17 ½” seat, and is a 32cm tree. Saddle has some small scratches on back right side of cantle, they are purely cosmetic, that were there when I purchased the saddle used.
I’ve been able to event in this saddle – all three phases at Beginner Novice and schooled Novice and some Training fences as well.
Saddle will come with a 54” used black Cashel Soft Touch girth, leathers (no irons) and black dee savers.

13 year old, 13.2 HH Haflinger. She has had extensive training.   She has done recognized 3 day events and countless 1 day events. She always scores well in Dressage and is a beautiful mover with lovely gaits. She finishes in the ribbons in most everything she competes in. Sunny is a Pony Club veteran and has participated in many rallies.    She is very mellow and level headed. How she acts at home is how she is at any venue. Never spooky or marish can accommodate a small adult easily. She has shoes on her front feet but can go barefoot. She has had shoes on for 4 months and was barefoot all of the time previously. Teeth floated in May and up to date on all vaccinations. Sunny has fox hunted, gamed, carted, trail ridden, vaulted and pretty much anything you can think of. She will inspire confidence in the green rider or seasoned rider. sensible and sweet.  She has just started her jumping training and is

eager and loves to work.  She is schooling 2’3″ and has started her

flying changes.  Puma has had a start in dressage and her lateral work

is easy.  She is light off the leg and in the bridle and is very

comfortable to ride.  Puma is not for a beginner as she is still a bit

green herself, but would be a wonderful project for a junior or young

Eventing Pony For Sale

Long Story Short is an amazingly talented 13.2h 2002 welsh pony cross.  He received the overall high score award at his first dressage show last year.  Showing training level this year, schooling first and second level movements nicely.  Confirmed flying lead changes.  LOVES to jump.  Point him at the fence and he sorts out the rest….  If you get to the fence too long or too short, no worries….  He figures it out for you.  Great with his knees and hocks.  He beat the fancy warmbloods and thoroughbreds at his last two open shows in the hunter hack classes.  Bold.  Up banks, down banks, canters through the water.  The eventing photos on the flyer are from his first ever cross country outing at a clinic last year.  Covers the ground nicely and has amazing endurance.  My daughter has sadly outgrown him and I am a bit too tall or I would keep him for myself.  Jumps 2’9 courses with ease.  Schooling 3’ well.  We got him because he kept jumping out of my cousin’s 4’ pasture and he was tired of catching him….  So you could say he free jumps 4’ with ease.  J Great with kids.  Patient and careful with his feet and head when the little ones are on the ground. He has never bitten, kicked, bucked, or reared….  EVER!  He is a great confidence builder with enough “forward” to be interesting! Rockstar!! Alex is 12 year old Trakehner gelding and is a proven competitor with top placings and championships in the low adult amateur jumpers and children’s jumpers. ATA Horse of the Year in the AA Jumpers in 2010 and 2011 and has also placed in the 1.10 meter jumpers. Many top placings in eventing at Training Level and has also completed through Preliminary with no jump penalties on cross country.  Alex is kind, bold, honest, brave tries hard to please, loves his job and builds confidence in the less than confident rider.  Alex would be perfect for a youth or adult amateur wanting to be competitive or just have fun at BN/N or up to the 3’ jumpers.  He loves attention, is experienced on trails, has been camping at the beach and is happy to do what his rider asks.  He would also be an excellent lesson or lower level dressage horse.  While out on trial in October 2011 he suffered a high suspensory injury.  Completed treatment and rehab, back under saddle in March 2012 and now ready to go back to more serious work to prepare for 2013. This would be in an in-barn half-lease situation. Tara is lovely on the flat, has smooth gaits, is comfortable to ride and proficient in first and second level dressage. Apart from her dressage experience, she has also competed prelim level eventing. I’m looking for someone who has at least a few years experience with riding and is looking for a way to ride two to three days a week without having to actually own their own horse. I would prefer someone to take one lesson a week with either Joanna or Duschka Fowler. I also prefer half-leaser to do flat work only until they’re more familiar with Tara.
