Tulipsprings Clinic - April 9-10th, 2011 (new date)

This year we are excited to offer a Young Rider clinic weekend at Tulipsprings Farm in Kennewick, Washington. This clinic is open to all current Young Rider members that are riding at Beginning Novice and above. The clinic cost of $325.00 covers four lessons, stabling, lunch and dinner on Saturday. Camping is available for living quarters, campers and RV's in parking lot. The closest hotel is listed below with many others available in Kennewick.

All riders will receive two dressage lessons and two jumping lessons. Horse will be stabled on site in outdoor private paddocks. Please bring bedding, if desired. All paddocks must be picked clean before departure.

Hawley Bennett Awad
In 1999, Hawley represented Canada at the North American Young Rider Championships finishing fourth. In 2002, Hawley and Livingstone, a.k.a. “Hank,” finished 14th at the CCI*** Fair Hill International and the following year, they enjoyed a clear cross-country performance at the prestigious Rolex Kentucky CCI****. In the fall of 2003, they were members of the Silver Medal Team at the 2003 Pan American Eventing Championships, and Hawley’s Olympic dreams became a reality when she and Livingstone represented the Canadian Equestrian Team in Athens, Greece, the following year. In 2005, the fairytale continued when Hawley and Livingstone traveled to Sweden place 15th in the FEI World Cup Final. In 2007, they accomplished yet another goal by successfully completing the Badminton CCI**** in England. And in 2008, Hawley and Livingstone competed at Rolex for their fourth time with yet another clean cross-country. This last year Hawley was a member of the Silver Medal team at the World Equestrian Games.

Beth Anderson Ness
Beth is a USDF bronze, silver, & Gold medalist, an L judge graduate ‘with distinction’, two time member of the Region 6 Advanced Young Rider Team, as well as member of the 1996 Team Silver Medalist, and has won multiple Regional Championships and Horse of the Year Awards.

All lessons will be in groups according to ability.

This clinic can accommodate 15 riders and is sure to fill up very quickly. Places will be held for completed applications in the order received. Please send the registration form, the Tulipsprings release, the USEA release and your check to secure your spot. We hope to see you there! All clinic participants must be current members of the USEA and the Area VII YR program. All memberships for YR's must be done through USEA either at the time of joining or at a later date.

Come join us June 28th - July 1st, 2011 for the Area VII Young Rider Camp at Aspen Farms in Yelm, WA. Space is limited to stabling availability so be sure and get your registration forms in early. Instructors include our Young Rider Coach, Jonathan Elliott, past YR coach, Jean Moyer, past Young Rider and winner of the Rolex Kentucky Four Star, Tiffani Loudon- Meetze and Area VII trainer and competitor extraordinaire, Karen O’Neal.

All campers must be members of USEA and the Area VII Young Rider program.
